Phthonos

Two friends , for each a box one tries,the other mocks one yields, one persistent still curious to know her box's fill. Then one day, chance abets the opened box, onto her it's secret lets and success comes with riches and glory and far spreads her fame and story. Upon the other's ear, fells the tale yet every memory of her own box fails she rides on green, to sparkle find her friend she knows, won't be unkind. Amidst the laughter, one slayed the box in her keeping, now laid Alas though, for it opened once and then never her own box , stayed shut forever.
