There's so much pain in the way she said it
The way she said they don't like her anymore
The way her face fell when they left without her
The way she walked out of the lunchroom alone
There's so much sadness in her eyes when she looks up
The way she watches them close her out of the circle
The way she sees the looks they give her when she talks
The way she can see that she isn't wanted or missed
So one day she didn't show up to the circle
But no one noticed and she knew that
There's so much wanting in the way she looked at them
The way she saw them all laughing and happy without her
The way they barely shot her a passing glance
The way they later laughed off her passing hello
There's so much heartache in her chest the way she sat alone
The way she pretended to do her homework
The way she just went to the library instead
The way she would watch them from a distance
It had been almost a week since she had talked to any of them
But no one noticed and she knew that
There was so much longing in her gaze the way she looked in their direction
The way she kept her head down and only glanced briefly
The way she crossed her arms and shuffled on
The way she just went into the bathroom instead

The way she stopped talking to any of them at all
