Twas two months before Christmas
And all through the house
Decorations were hung
By my lovely spouse.

The tree was decked out
Not one limb was missed
Mistletoe was hung high
For that one special kiss
The porch was lit up
With colorful lights
For people to see
When they drove by at night
The windows had candles
That were lit and aglow
And the ground was all covered
In winters first snow
The kids watching tv
Would point out things they'ed see
And want old St Nick
To place under the tree
Egg nog with Jim Beam
Is a favorite for me
To get me through Christmas
And then New Years eve
So I wish everone
Best wishes and good cheer
For a very merry Christmas
