Kids, now a days find it hard to believe,
What their elders did then, and can't conceive,
Things available now for every day use,
Weren't always there then, but
That's no excuse.
Things like a smart phone, computers,
and such,
Making it so easy to stay in touch.
Back then we had party lines, pay phones,
Phone operators,
There were coal stoves, steam engines,
Steam radiators,
there were no McDonald's, Wendy's,
or other franchise operators.
Things we did then
were seemingly a lot more easy,
Kids now a days think it was cheesy.
I wouldn't trade my days
from way back then,
To what happens today,
But it might have been,
All right for them.
