Our planet seems to be
On the cuttng edge,
Being involved with a driven wedge,
Issues of civil strife or war,
What's wrong with peace?
How come it doesn't work any more?
It seems that the U.S.A.
Gets involved almost everyday.
Why must we be this world's cops,
It seems like some nations
Hopes it never stops.
We can't go on supporting and
Propping other lands,
We have enough civil problems
On our hands.
It's time to stop this nation's derision,
Nit picking, racism and division.
We have make some special efforts
To get back to some sort of sanity,
Bring back our previous days of civility.
Now that I've had my rant and rave,
I'll get down from my old soap box,
But not before I do what I crave,
Eat some more bagels and lox.
