Can you recall when it was fun,
Playing Cowboys and Indians,
Outdoors in a blazing sun?
Remember when camping out
Was under the old clothes line,
Mom would put an old bed sheet
Over one wire, and it worked out
Just fine.
Then it could be the teepee, where the
Indians hid,
Or later on, it might be for the cowboy's
Jail and or any other bad kid.
Then it might become a soldier's tent,
When not chasing the enemy, was spent.
With a little imagination,
That special hideaway,
Might become a place to stay
On a foreign planet far away.
Remembering all the fun we had
With simple old bed sheet,
Images of what kind of games
We played,
Made growing up more sweet.
