No one knows where it came from nor how it came to be.
It appeared in the sky floating above the sea.
Just floating, non-moving, a sight for all to see.
What no one knows is that hidden with in the castle above the sea floating in the sky,
was a girl of seventeen.
Trapped within the castle’s tower, unseen to the observers,
as the world continues to spin and whirl.
Who is this girl? Why, why is she hiding within the castle in the sky.
Maybe she does it out of fear of being rejected by the world,
maybe she does it because she would rather remain alone than around fake boys and girls.
Or could it be that she does it to remain numb.
While the castle floating in the sky receives all the attention,
she goes by contempt with being unseen and unmentioned.
She watches people from the outside from within.
She watches their reactions, their smiles, and their grins.
She learns from them their ways and language.
She finds them strange but she still waits and observes.
She learns the real from the fake smiles,
she learns that the people of the outside world are not to be fully trusted.
With their lies and their secrets,
she realizes that she would rather stay true to herself than to be tainted by the filth of the outside world.
So she continues to watch the people as the world continues to spin and whirl.
She decides to remain in the castle floating in the sky above the sea.
One may ask why does she decides to remain,
maybe it’s because she wants to find the one being who is true and kind of heart.
It may not show on the outside,
but it will still be there, and when she finds that one she will put all of her trust into their care.
If they prove themselves worthy,
she will step out into the world and make an everlasting bond that cannot be broken nor harmed. Until then she sits, waits, and she watches, from the castle in the sky floating above the sea. Waiting for the true of heart to finally come and set her free.
