I am on a special trip to Anchorage, Alaska
I’m traveling all the way from Omaha, Nebraska
I will be driving about 3,357 miles
Oh, I forgot to introduce myself
My name is Brock Pyles
I have been preparing myself for this so I have the perfect health.
I am going up there to hunt some mule deer
I just recently quit my job to make this a full time career
I leave tomorrow morning bright and early
I told my beloved wife that I loved her dearly
So the early morning has come
Ahhh the brisk of fall
Hunting will provide all my income
I hopped in my my 2003 charcoal grey Toyota Tacoma
Then I just smiled, and spoke absolutely no words at all
About a month ago I got my new Ruger 10/22 rifle from Arizona
On my way I had to stop at the border of Canada
I felt really disgusted by Adam the patrolmen’s breath that smelled a bit of Corona
But luckily Adam finally let me pass through
I had about another 12 hour drive ahead
I couldn’t wait to get to the hunting lodge so I can rest my head
I finally arrived to the great hunting lodge in Anchorage
I jumped right into the best so I can rest.
Tomorrow has came already and I’m going to do my best
I hoped on my 4 wheeler to head straight to pasturage
I started to climb a white spruce tree
Then suddenly I lost my grip and scraped my knee
I smack right on the ground
Then my gun went off with a loud pound...... BANG!!!
With my ears pounding, my phone rang!
It was my beautiful wife, her voice is like music to my ears
It felt like it has been a million years
I struggled but got up and limped back to the 4 wheeler
Hurting my leg on this trip was such a stealer.
I hopped back in my charcoal gray Toyota Tacoma
I am very grateful to not be in a coma
I am excited to be home to see my beautiful wife
She is everything, she is my whole life
I am about half way there before my leg is starting to hurt.
I’m trying to stay awake so I can be alert.
I’m about 3 hours away from my home sweet home
I am finally passing the super down,
I am finally home, I limped inside to see my wife
It felt like in my leg was a sharp knife
But I am home, and that is enough for me, I’m done for awhile
I am just going to lay here with my wife and smile
