The Wolf

A howl that echoed through the night. The moon glistens in the saturated blue Of dawn. I feel alone in the silence, With only the wind that accompanies me. Ahead, a shimmering oasis absorbs all the moonlight. Throwing my dreams into the water, A shadow grows upon me in the reflection of the pond. A wolf. Brave but careful It move swiftly through the night I can almost feel my hand reach out to touch Her unrealistically soft fur. Every move she makes has gotten much thought. As light hits her eyes, electric blue knocks me down The trees tower over her, yet everything knows that she Is the boss. Stealthy as she walks into the dark. She disappears.
