For the first
In my own space, I’m lonely
I can’t explain it,
The way the rain creates a misty halo
Around street lights-
The type of warmth you want to share with somebody.
For the first time I’m afraid to ride my horse into the unknown, it’s too high.
I can’t see the ground,
My grass safety blanket
Holds me
Chokes me
I can’t tell the difference until I’m away a while
But this feels too long.
