The woods were beautiful in that one particular spot
During the day
It seemed as if millions of diamonds danced on the river
The birds would sing every love song they knew
Serenading the brilliantly colored trees
The flowers would gently dance with the caress of the breeze
And the deer would stop
Just long enough for you to see the gentleness in their eyes
As night would fall
The lake would become a mirror to the sky
The birds love songs would turn to lullabies
As the trees welcome them back home and cover them for the night
The flowers lay their tired heads upon each other
Only to raise them even higher tomorrow
