I wish I had a tree
A great big intimidating tree
With a canopy of lush branches
My tree would be by the lake
There’d be just enough grass around it
Some of it worn out
From spending so much time
My tree protects me from the sun
And provides good cover at night
The lake sings loudest at night
And mimics the sky
Sometimes my tree sings along
And these are the times I drift comfortably to sleep
