My First OT

I was always afraid, Of seeing somebody bleed and in pain, I wasn’t sure of, How would I manage of bypassing my utmost fears! Then came the day of My First OT” I was so tensed, my blood pressure was so high, My heartbeats were resonating in my ears, Holding my friends hand, I somehow managed to stand strong!! Then came the Surgeon, All the instruments were arranged, Lights were on and Operation started, After 3 hrs of efforts patient was relieved from her pain, And Operation was successful!! Witnessing this whole event, My eyes turned numb, My heart was filled with pride Of the profession I have-choose to become , Saving someone’s life,Is saving a family Which We as doctors are fortunate to experience!!! —— Yeshasri Chennagouni
