We drown ourselves in our own sorrows and blame not being able to swim
Because it’s easier to shift the shame rather than working towards a win.
Our subscription to what’s convenient lies behind a thickening haze
Of choosing the beaten path rather than choosing the maze.
Should you always go for what’s easy and forego the gains of a difficult way,
You realize nothing new and won’t have a one up on today.
I know we all are tired, being tugged in every which way way
Along with the all of the stress that follows us everyday.
Remember to stop and take in what’s around you despite your urge to run.
Beautiful things are everywhere, just slow down and enjoy the sun.
Save some of yourself for a challenge; they teach you more than you know.
Eventually you’ll meet them with ease and from there you’ll only grow.
