These halls echo with the sound of hatred and fear

The walls are practically covered in blood

Incredibly malevolent things have happened here

You were ever so careful on that day

But still the angels took you away

Long gone, out of sight

I’m not alright but what else is new

So many times, I’ve told myself I’m through

When sunshine doesn’t come with survival

Those who can see beyond the stars don’t look up

They don’t stare at the sky looking for something in the sparkly black velvet

They look within themselves and the ones around them

A sense of home and belonging in battle
